Amy Hope
Amy Hope comes from a fine art background and is finally pursuing her own artwork after six years in graphic design.
The work falls somewhere between art and craft and has been well received in Brighton shows. Combining her interest in maps and British wildlife, Amy makes illustrative images out of paper. Every piece is painstakingly put together, first drawn then cut with a scalpel. As each sliver of paper is cut out it reveals another colour beneath. Maps are often incorporated in the work, contextualising the subject matter geographically.
